Uwell Caliburn AK2 Pod Kit Review

The Uwell Caliburn AK2 Pod Kit is a small pod system with a 520mAh battery capacity. It is an improvement over the Koko and Koko Prime. Uwell relaunched their Caliburn line into two groups: Caliburn A and Caliburn AK2, which have fixed coil pods that you discard as the coil performance deteriorates. The Uwell Caliburn AK2 Pod Kit has an ejuice viewing glass and a 15W output. Despite having the same battery capacity as the original Caliburn, this pod gadget has a USB Type C connector for quick charging.

About The Manufacturer

Uwell was formed in Shenzhen in 2015. The company is a well-known e-cigarette brand that provides a diverse selection of high-quality and durable vape tanks, starter kits, and accessories. Their extraordinary success has catapulted them to the forefront of the vaping industry’s technology creators. Following the success of their tanks and mods, they created the Caliburn, one of the most popular pod devices on the market, which has received several accolades.

Design and Build Quality

The Uwell Caliburn AK2 Pod Kit is shaped like a square. The gadget is designed to seem sleeker and more contemporary than the Caliburn A2. It weighs 35 grams, so portability should be no problem. The Caliburn AK2 is available in four color variants, which you may select according to your preferences. The AK2 has a juice window that can only be seen from the front. The gadget is also compatible with the most recent Caliburn pods, which have a smoother and more comfortable mouthpiece and a lanyard hole on the other side of the pod.

Battery Capacity

The 520mAh capacity of the Uwell Caliburn AK2 Pod Kit is enough to power one and fourteen pods on a single charge (2.5 mL). That’s half a millilitre less than the 3 millilitres I obtained from the Caliburn A2. Uwell has included a battery indicator light to let you know how far your battery is down, which is a lovely addition that was sorely lacking in prior editions. The LED is located near the device’s base, on the same edge as the air entrance. The three different colored battery indicators display the battery level as follows:

  • Green: 60-100%
  • Blue: 30-60%
  • Red: 0-30%

Caliburn AK2 Pods

The pods included with this device are not compatible with any of the prior Caliburn devices. The mouthpiece of the Caliburn AK2 is similar to the original Caliburn pods, but with a more contoured form, still, a bit rounded like the Caliburn G but more defined. The fill port features a red check valve and is suitable for 10ml and 50ml ejuice bottles.
